Alright, update time.

I think it worked...but i have a problem yet again..


I'm trying to get my verizon dsl on the computer and it says the screen has to be 800 x 600 but when I change it the screen changes black and stays like that. I have it on High color 16 bit. As 256 doesn't work. I'm rebooting my computer now to see if 800 x 600 works on original 16 bit but do you have any idea on how to improve this?


Okay i can't run it, 800 X 600 when i go to click on it no matter what goes back to 256 and then my comptuer won't run it. I need help haha

You need to install the correct drivers.

What kind of videocard do you have? An ATI Rage or an ATI Wonder?

Hey guys Guess what computer I'm using?

Yup yup I got it to work, as i was sitting here trying to setup the ATI drivers my mother came home and started to look for something, out she comes with the ATI disk to which she found....at the bottom of a box with some other stuff. But hey! It works now and all i want to know is there anything you guys you recommend me downloading to help me out?

You three were a huge help. Sorry you were kinda left out Merlin but you were a great resource with your links and raptor the tuff yet caring guy and of course, 2k who helped me out greatly! But thanks a million guys you three are greatness and now you can recommend me stuff but your work is done

Glad everything is working for you. Recommending some needed software is something I leave to Raptor. He has all the links. D;  You need a firewall, anti-virus, and something to remove ad-ware and spy-ware. Congratulations, kiddo! I suspect you learned a lot from this little fiasco.

Thanks a bunch, well, I'm already back on the main comptuer >_< the other one ran really...really...slow so maybe Ill just use it to type up school work, i put my brother's copy of microsoft word xp on it. The internet is beyond slow lol.
