    usb to usb connection

    hello i have a male to male usb connection and i would like to hook my computer to my stereo up with it as they both have usb connections but when i plug it in my stereo is saying no usb detected is there some sort of program i need to download for this to work ? any free ones? thanks for ur help in advance :)

        First off, we need more info.  We're not psychic.

        What's the model of your stereo? 

        I'm going to go under the assumption that the USB ports on your stereo are for flash drives, iPods, iPhones, MP3 players, etc, and not for PCs.  Therefore, your computer is not going to detect your stereo or vice versa.

        Please read the documentation for your stereo.
        We can not help you without specific information.

        Normally USB male to male is not how things are connected.
        These special connectors are used by experimenters who fully understand what they are doing. Usually a conversation from RS232 to USB, which may have the wrong USB connector on some special devices.
