    Chinese to me
    « on: August 19, 2010, 10:39:05 AM »
    Hi
I've been having a little tinker with the registry lately, having come across a few tips on making my lappy a bit faster. I don't know if that's been the course, but a few web sites I open up I just get a page full of chinese writing, no images or anything, just the writing. I'm also unable to install any updates. as I keep getting the error code 8007064c, I dont know wether this also has contributed to my situation. oh....im running Vista.

Did you back up the registry before editing?

The registry is a dangerous place to "tinker".

Can you cite one of those websites that displays Chinese writing?  I'm skeptical that any registry tinkering would have caused that.
