    Boot from CD
    « on: August 18, 2010, 07:12:24 PM »
    Hello,

My computer's keyboard is connected via USB (wireless USB keyboard).  My computer is currently setup to load first from CD and then hard drive...

My issue is that since my USB ports are loaded only when Windows is starting, I cannot press a key when prompted to do so in order to boot from CD...  This also means I cannot press the F11 key to enter setup and go into the BIOS...

    Any suggestions???

P.S.:  I wanted to plug an older keyboard with the keyboard plug (purple plug) but my computer doesn't have the proper port for that!!!

Check BIOS. USB type of keyboard may be set there to "disabled".

      Sorry for that :)
I wasn't reading your post carefully enough.

Now, what are the computer issues?
What exactly are you trying to do/solve?

I dont know will this solution workout or not Try to boot from win98 CD , once after entering in to DOS Screen replace the CD with winXP.Now start running winXP(any O.S) setup by using MS-DOS commands.  :-\
