Mixing PC100 low density with PC133 high density

Hi : Can someone tell me if i can mix 256mb PC100 low density ram with 256mb PC133 high density ram on a old Dell Optiplex GX100?

The issue is not mixing the 2 types, but whether the computer is able to recognize the high density properly.  Some machines won't even POST, others will see the 256MB high density as 128MB, and some will see it properly.
