PCMCIA SRAM cards
« on: August 26, 2010, 06:43:35 PM »
Hello:
I was wondering if anyone out there knows anything about the types of compatible (laptop running XP) Flash and/or SRAM pcmcia memory cards that are out there. I have these handheld pc's supporting all types probably back to when their were DOS laptops.
I wish to continue using these in both the handheld and bring them into XP laptops.
The ones in question have a button type 3volt lithium cell. They are labeled Alpha Technology and when inserted into XP laptop they generate exactly zero reaction.
Others  I have labeled New Media, Simple Technology all get recognized by the
drivers that come with XP generic driver. Even ones with button cells.
Anyone know why the difference? They look physically identical.
