funny spam
« on: August 29, 2010, 10:58:15 PM »
This is an eMail I got a little while ago on my msn account. It's humorous to me,  but  some people actually fall for this kind of stuff.  So sad

Hi, I am a "FOREX GENIUS", and I would like to show you how I work for just a minutes per day and let my robots make me thousands of dollars per year while I do whatever I want. Press here and I'll show you how my robot makes me richIt's so amazing, and simple....I am SHOCKED that not everyone is doing what I am doing...there really is no competition, and everyone could be rich if they want to be. It's crazy that I just have to work a few minutes per day.  Press here and I'll show you how my robot makes me rich

I had a spam comment on my blog that was humourous. It was deleted now but it was something like "please help I'm being held against my will by the Russian mafia and forced to post links" and the rest of the post was spam.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Possibly one of the funniest things I've ever read... Russian Mafia forcing you to post links. I can just see the guy in a dark tiny room with just a desk a computer and a mafioso pointing a gun at his head.. shouting 'post more links!'

But how you played the game.

heh, that's exactly what I thought when I first saw it as well. Some beefy Serbian barking "POST MORE LINKS, COMRADE!"

It's gone now, I was hoping to post that portion of it verbatim (with the links removed of course) but it was either posted to long ago or the recent deluge that akismet has captured caused it to be replaced.

As far as scam emails go:
