If so, how do you turn it on?

You know, it's pretty discriminating for moderators to tell others "If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't post", while they do it themselves and have a laugh about it. Corruption is everywhere.

The OP has yet to make a meaningful post, or to ever describe their problem(s) in a useful way. Single-sentence posts and replies make the entire thing a case of pulling teeth. Example:

    Quote
If so, how do you turn it on?

    was replied with this:

    Quote
To turn it on, I just press a key

What else would you do? use psychic powers? Additionally, this implies that the computer isn't even being turned on, but woken from sleep mode. Of course since they have this problem being explicit and are instead  describing their problem a sentence at a time through short replies it's doubtful they would ever receive meaningful help.

Please elaborate. What activities were you doing during this issue?
What kind of machine/computer do you have?

      Yes I use 'psychic powers', i.e. sympathy/empathy.
      I use my brain.
I'm helpful, which is exactly the opposite of all the arrogants here.
      Enough said.

I'm psychic too, and I see something bad in your near to medium term future... the mists swirl... some words are forming... "forum ban". What can it mean?

Stand by = Sleep (Hibernate for Vista)
and I don't use psychic powers to open my computer. I JUST PRESS ANY KEY!!! That's simple  :)
To stand by my computer, I click on shutdown in the start menu and I click on Stand by... That's it, that's all. Nothing more, nothing less  ;D

No. There are four power states.

The computer is on, you are using it.
      The computer is off.

the computer is on sleep/standby (low power mode, HD's powered down, most peripherals powered down)
Hibernate. The computer saves all RAM to disk and shuts off.

The only plausible scenario here is that your computer is NOT Off, it's in sleep/standby mode (NOT hibernate, either) because otherwise only the power switch would turn it on.

When I stand-by my computer and start it after, the sound doesn't work. I need to reset the sound for it work again  ::) Why? ???

Fixed the above quote (stand by to the more clear stand-by).

The answer? your sound hardware/driver isn't compatible with power saving mode.
