        Hi Alan
        Thanks for replying
        I am in deep trouble
It only started happening 2 days ago and I have tried several times to start the computer but every time exactly the same thing happens.
This problem has appeared since I contacte Sky Caddie and installed there software it is a GPS site for Golfers and you can download your own choice of Golf Courses , during this the site took control of my computer and mouse whilst the did some adjustments , this may just be a coincidence but I have not done anything different.
Many Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
By the way were are you based I am in Bolton Lancs UK

You need to describe the EXACT problem. What happens and when does it happen? How far does the boot get? Have you run a full scan with your anti virus utility?

Thanks for sticking with me I will describe what happens
When i switch on all is normal then I get the warning
          Checking file system on c:
The type of the file system is FAT32.
One of your discs needs to be checked for consistency.

(THEN GOES TO 100 Per cent)
          \WINDOWS\wiaservc.log
          File And Folder verification complete

Then that goes off and Windows Starting Up comes on
I then get the Desk Top but the egg cup will not let me proceed
After a couple of minutes the desk top is replaced by a page saying:-
A problem has been detreced and Windows has been shut downto prevent damage to your computer
If this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen restart your computer , if this screen appears again follow these steps

          From MSDN:

          Quote
          0x00000023: FAT_FILE_SYSTEM
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
A problem occurred within a read or write to a FAT16 or FAT32 file system drive. There may be a physical problem with the disk, or an Interrupt Request Packet (IRP) may be corrupted. Other common causes include heavy hard drive fragmentation, heavy file I/O, problems with some types of drive-mirroring software, or some antivirus software. I suggest running ChkDsk or ScanDisk as a first step; then disable all file system filters such as virus scanners, firewall software, or backup utilities. Check the file properties of FASTFAT.SYS to ensure it matches the current OS or SP version. Update all disk, tape backup, CD-ROM, or removable device drivers to the most current versions.

Yes thanks for that the problem is I do not know how to do anything on the computer as it just stops after doing the two things I outlined and then does not respond to the mouse to do anything else so I cannot proceed , do you know if there is any way I can get in so I can do the instructions ??? ???
            Thanks to all
