can open a folder?

wen i try to open a folder it say disk is not formatted:do yo want to format it now ho can i fix this?

Is that folder in an external hard drive? Do the other folders in drive M open?

yeah its in a external hard drive

Format the disk.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

i just wanted help  but patio it just messing up wit me and now you bro just give me a answer and thats it you guy r just tripping at me and stuff...im not trying to be mean you know i just need some help if it hard to answer the question just tell me i go someone who can help me you know ......one of my folders dont open it say disk is not formatted:do yo want to format it now why do this happen?and if i format it do i loose my data? thanks
