« on: September 25, 2010, 06:03:39 AM »
having a nightmare trying to figure out why internet explorer isnt removing all history.....have tried delete browsing history options in tools etc.....have also tried regedit from start to remove URLs..thats showing nothin in there
Yet when i click back on address bar it still shows a list of history and favourites.theres a little icon with a red X next to them which says delete but they just come back again after pressing this
      Any1 got any ideas?

You could try running CCleaner  to see if that clears the cache.

The problem is that what you want to get rid of is not the same as History and Favorites.  To get rid of these sites, you can check the page below:
http://www.pchell.com/support/delete_address_bar_urls.shtml

However, if you would rather avoid the registry, then download/install the program Mulreay suggested above.  Before running the Cleaner, simply make sure you check Recently Typed URLs.  That should take care of it.
