How do i adjust framrate on games? like HALO 2? Jacked up?

I recently bought halo 2 (yes i know its sorta old but fun) and I have a gaming pc. but for some reason it LOVEs to lag and idk why. al my other extreme games work fine. then i read a forum saying that halo 2 has a jacked up framrate whitch slows down your system. i heard of a program that can lower that framerate. where vcould i get that?

Halo 2 is old? I'm hardly a good judge of game age myself, I just finished playing a session of Duke3d. (the new Polymer renderer really gives my  graphics card a workout though).

If this is the system shown in your specs, it's probably the graphics card. Just a guess... you can confirm by seeing if it goes faster with a lower resolution.

al my other extreme games work fine.

I'm going to make some assumptions based on the specs listed in your profile since you didn't bother to mention what your specs are. Considering Halo 2 is a Vista game, the 3100 is an integrated chipset that shares system memory, and you've got 2GB of memory, you're probably barely meeting the minimum system requirements for memory, let alone the recommended.

What is your definition of "other extreme games"? We're not psychic. You're gonna have to try harder.

Ditto. There are programs that can slow down the processor, but that isn't what you need here. That would simply make your already bad situation a lot worse.

I asked you what an extreme game was.

you said "what would take more system resources, Pac-Man or COD?" However, that doesn't answer the question I posed.

By that definition, all "extreme games" are relative. By comparison to Atari 2600 Pac-Man, for example, Super Mario Bros. 3 could be called an "Extreme game". I think a far better term to use would be a resource-demanding game. "Extreme" basically means the furthest or highest extent of something, so saying "extreme game" is sort of meaningless, unless there is a lot of information the reader is supposed to infer (in your case, Extremely resource demanding, as opposed to extremely boring or extremely repetitive).
