Something wrong with my codecs
« on: July 30, 2005, 09:54:54 PM »
Okay, I have no knowledge about codecs, just that all I really need to watch what I want is xvid and divx. Now when I watch some video files (I'm not sure, but I think they're xvid ones), the colours seem to be inverted, and I have no idea what the problem is. This has only happened to some files, but its really annoying. Anyone know whats going on?

Try playing them in a program such as WinDVD?

Okay, its worse now. Whenever I try to play a video file Explorer gets an error and it restarts (the computer doesn't restart, just Explorer, all other programs keep going). I've uninstalled XP Codec Pack but All in 1 doesn't come with an uninstaller...

They're downloaded xvids (from torrents). Never had a problem with them before. I'm using Winamp 5.093.
