slow task bar load

Hi All,
i am using laptop with window vista home premium,i found that when i on the laptop,the task bar on the bottom of the lap top load slowly ,i mean it appears after 5 minutes,even my window display load quite fast.Besides this the items on the start menu also take some times to open.Why like this?Is anyone can help me!

Did this just start or has it always been this way?
Try a clean boot (open msconfig and choose "selective startup" (disable everything from loading) and reboot. What happens?

                I have done as you told but it doesn't solve the problem.further more i found out after i on the laptop.i try to open the control panel but it is not responding for 5 minutes before it start functioning as usual manner

As Allan have just asked, Did this just happen recently or not? Is your laptop specs capable of running vista? Or maybe you could give us the laptop model/specs and your previous OS used before Win Vista.

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

It was working fine till one month ago i create new account for my child with parental control.I noticed this slow task bar load immediately after  that new account (? coincident).Yesterday i deleted that new account yet the problem still persist.My laptop specs : acer aspire 2920 with built in window vista home premium, Intel core 2 duo processor T5750, 2GB DDR2 and 160 GB HDD.

Could you post current items on system tray upon Win boot/loading? Right-click on taskbar(blue,below) and choose Properties and click on Customize... On Current Items, how may icons are there in all and how many are on hide when inactive? Always hide? Always show?

                     There are 8 icons under current items and all of them 'hide when inactive'
