speed up- aNOTHER question

I was wondering if your computer is kinda laggy how would you make it less laggy should i use defrag, cause that's all i know hiow to do is their like other ways, like programs to speed it up or like methods or something? thanks

I usually defrag my computer every week or two whether it needs it or not.  Defrag if you haven't done that for awhile.

    Download & run ccleaner then do a defrag.

    Make certain the following applies to your computer:
    • Virus, Spyware and Trojan horse free
    • Registry cleaned
    • HDD/Partitions defragmented
    • Excessive dust removed
    • Unneccessary programs removed


    The list goes on and on..

    Adding RAM can help and is usually the cheapest way of making the computer operate faster.

    Which Operating System are you using and what are the current specifications?

    I have a 1.2 GHZ compaq presario 256 ram i think

    and may i ask how you add ram to your computer? do you go like add it from the back on the tower and unscrew it and stuff?
