He likes the concept and contruction of IE6 not the fact there are tabs in other versions. Removing tabs from a version other than 6 which does not exist, does not take away the fact that he likes IE6.

This would depend on where you live as they are only required to follow the law locally.  For example in Canada they don't need to follow any of the European marketing laws.  Don't make sweeping generalizations based on your own experiences ;)

Bingo!

Having tabs doesn't make me less inclined to use a browser; it simply is not a selling point for me.  Removing the feature would still leave me with a browser I don't like.
