If you're going to do a re-format it would be a waste of our precious time. Backup your important data and do you re-format.

    Sorry I did not intend to waste your time.  I was referred over here from my other tread because they said not to back-up anything off an infected PC, just like your instructions state.  I felt that if I ran scans on my files to be backed up that would be enough so I will try that as you also suggest.  Thank you for your time.

    Please don't get me wrong. I don't mind spending the time to clean your computer but if you want to reformat it would be a better way to go. You can save your important files and scan them with the programs I suggested earlier before putting them back on your re-formatted computer. That way you'll be safe.
