xp pro sp3 audio device asus amd phenom

i have xp pro sp3 and in device manager the yellowed is Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus  Location: 65535 (Internal HD Audio)  The drivers for this device are not installed.  The HD Audio Driver Package is in add/remove but I cannot remove it because it (could) mess up a bunch of good programs I need.  Anyhoo,  I have no sound.  I have an Asus AMD Phenom motherboard.  help

Is there an option on the driver installer to repair an installation. That shouldn't mess with any programs

In add/remove programs, select uninstall. Don't actually uninstall, if that makes sense. On many uninstallers, there is a repair button. If you have that, click repair and the installer will try to fix any driver problems. If not, I can still try to help you to the best of my ability.

There is not an option to uninstall HD Audio Driver Package.  It says if I do I could mess up a lot of necessary programs.  Including my local Security package.  tyvm

It will tell you what devices you have and have links to the DLoad driver.

It's your Public IP, you can see it, every server on the internet can see it, individual cannot (easily).

The link:  below to:  support asus... worked like a dream.  I even found the driver to download in my M2N68-AM Motherboard 'User Guide' which was ALC662.  I am so happy. tysssoo much Computer_Commando.  And ty Patio:  I realized after i posted the info it was wrong, i was just so darn happy to find info and to post it.   I did not unerstand your advice. sry  But tyvm for answering.
