sometimes when i open ie i get 'restore to last session or go to homepage'  happens usually first time only

f in title is wrong.   I can click from the START menu, from a shortcut on the desktop or in START/all programs to bring up ie 8.  Happens the first time it's tried:  I get the two options to 'restore last session or homepage option'.  After that the options are gone.  More info?

The last two times i opened ie8 for the first time the little green bars filled up the little white bar at the bottom a little to the left of centre.  The hour glass appears and takes about 30-40 seconds to start ie8.  Slow.   I am right now waiting for an answer to my two firewalls.  Which to keep:  the one in Linksys-G  2.4GHz 54Mbs or the one that comes with my Internet Service Provider's Security Package.  ?

contacted my service provider and he says he uses both with no problem, i will disable them and see what happens

i disabled the firewall in my internet service providers security package

got a couple of pop-ups and turned my IP"s firewall back on
