Outlook locks up when opening an email

I have done the following; Virus scan, Online virus scan, repair outlook from the help menu, uninstalled office and reinstallled.  I have moved the PST file to another computer and it works fine, I can use the preview pane and the auto preview but as soon as I click on the email to open it I get an hour glass and outlook is locked up.  If I go to file open in outlook it locks up as well.

You could try getting the latest updates for office from  microsoft. Do you only have the problem with one email or is it when you click on any email your outlook locks up.

Any email that I try and open it happens.  Or even by clicking on new to start a new email it locks up

Is this the only program that locks up like this or is there other programs that lock up frequently?
