problem when logging in windows xp

My computer has been having some problems so I would like you to help me solve the

problem. The case is: whenever I switch on the computer and log in my Windows account,

sometimes it logs in normally. Other times only the wallpaper appear, and everything

disappears (the files and even the task bar) . even when I try to switch off, it still

take a VERY long time to log out of the account. so can you please help me to check

the programs at the bottom and inform me of the problem and what I should do? Thank you very
