okay, i've got the same mobo as you and I had the exact same problem a while ago too. If you have a sound card, take it out, and plug in a speaker to the green slot (in the I/O slots) to use the onboard audio. You'll hear some lady talking, saying the POST tests (the things are in your manual). start with only the cpu and heatsink, then add a stick of ram, then another stick, then gpu, etc, and see if the messages come out.
Also, it might not happen to you, but my mobo wouldn't say anything after I put in the RAM, even though I had no GPU or HDD, only CPU and RAM were in. I RMA'd my mobo, and that solved the problem, but might not be the same with you.
