    LPJ Slideshow
    « on: November 20, 2010, 01:51:05 PM »
I am trying to create a slideshow using LPJ Slideshow. This was free but is no longer available and thus no support is available.
I have all the information that was available at the time of downloading but whilst it states that the "Caption"  facility is available,
nowhere is it detailed how to actually insert the photograph captions.
Has anyone else used this particular software and can explain how to get captions onto the photograhs ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are trying to use software that had a limited user policy. If the software had a trial period and that trial period has ended then it would be clear that said software is no longer usable to the full extent unless you pay for it.

As we don't 'hack' software I fail to see what use we can be.

LPJ Slideshow is "freeware" and is thus not subject to any payment,  time restriction or feature restriction.
It was created by a Dane named Lars P Jeppeson and was freely available at http://hjem.get2net.dk/lpj/
Donations only were invited and any fee payable was only if distributed.

As stated previously, for some unknown reason this web site appears not to be available now.

When I first found the site and downloaded the programme in May 2005 it had a very active forum section.
Unfortunately, at that time I had not tried to create a sliseshow and thus not aware of my "captions" issue.
Probably I did not download 100% of the instructions.

Sorry I did not explain myself clearly in my original question.
