I have a spreadsheet with a large set of numbers/values which includes "<" values (i.e. 1, 1, 2, 1.1, 0.1, <1, 1, 4, <3, etc...). I'm trying to get Conditional Formatting to shade cell values if they are greater than a value (i.e. shade cell if it's value is greater than 1)... this works great for numbers, but if the cell has a "<" sign in its value, it gets shaded.

Any easy ways to ignore the values (do not shade) with "<" signs?

Thanks JGB
