Which power saving features do you use for your computer or laptop? Do you ever have issues with any of them? What is your overall experience with the features?

I clicked "Other (Specify)" because I use AMD Cool 'n' Quiet with my AMD X4 Phenom II 945. I have never had any issues. My overall experience is that it runs nice and cool when I'm not doing much and ramps up the power when I need it.

The peaks at around 35 and 29 deg C were when I was doing DivX encoding in VirtualDub. The rest of the time, as you can see, it stays around 20 - 25.

For me I have my laptop set to use a number of power management features when running on batteries in both win7 as well as Mint 10. However, the only one that usually get's used is Sleep mode; I don't usually leave my laptop unattended/unused long enough for it to hibernate.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

What is the Hybrid Sleep mode?

I have Windows 7 installed on an HP Compaq d530 CMT tower system and I discovered I could set the computer to hibernate by pressing the power button.

That setting is configurable in Power Options

Thanks for posting that link.  It answers my question about Hybrid Sleep mode.

I'm not using that computer at the moment but I believe that's where I found the setting.
