Recently one of my older computers in my house started to act up. It started freezing and then eventually it started to show the blue screen of death with a "NVLDDMKM.sys" error (

I tried to reformat installing Windows 7, but the same error appeared. So then formatted to Windows XP and everything runs fine now, except that every time i try to install ANY Nvidia drivers, I get the BSOD error. Basically, the computer is running without the video card and it's really choppy without it. If I do install any drivers, I can only go in safe mode.
Any suggestions how on to fix this? I've posted this on the Nvidia forums as well.
