    Dear Help

    My motherboard is i845 and iwant to download a sound driver for it. Please tell me ways to do it.

    Go to Device Manager, find the on board sound (as shown below) and what does it say under SOUND,VIDEO, AND GAME CONTROLLERS? it should have your on board sound there.

    i845 is a chipset, not motherboard type.

    Is it brand computer, or a custom build?

      Under device manager there is 1. Aodio Codecs 2. Legacy Audio Drivers 3. Legacy Video capture devices 4. Media control devices 5. Video codecs

         it should have the drivers for your sound card, it says them (Legacy Audio Drivers) already. Try updating those.

        Download System Information for Windows: http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html to your Desktop.
        Get SIW Standalone (English-Only).
        Double click on siw.exe to run the program.
        Go File>Create Report File>HTML
        Save the file to known location.
        Zip the file, and attach it to your next reply.
