Monitor will not turn on at the boot scrn..
    « on: December 02, 2010, 10:56:01 AM »
When I turn on my computer, the boot screen will not show. Windows just auto starts and THEN the monitor turns on. How can I get my monitor to turn on at the boot screen? I was trying to boot linux but I can't if the boot screen doesn't show..... Any help?

Or if someone could step me through what to press in order to boot linux off a usb. When I press Cltrl+F1, my computer will just sit there, (I KNOW it's at the boot screen!!) but the monitor won't turn on. GRR.

More info on what exactly you are trying to do here would be helpful as you've mentioned both Windows and Linux...
