Scanner Error

I have a Photosmart C4580 printer. I keep getting a scanner error message. I tried uninstalling and the reinstalling the printer software cd. For some reason it is not installing properly.

What does the error say?

Did the scanner ever work? Did you make any changes to your computer right before this started?

Can it make copies?
