Printer error

I have a big old epson printer/copywriter/scanner its saying error Scanner error see your documentations and call service if neccessary. . i have no documents because my dad gave it to me

Is there any way i can fix it with out calling tec support??

It's very possible you can find a DLoadable User Manual at the Epson site...
