Vista Printing problem
« on: January 07, 2011, 08:06:29 AM »
Hi All,
I have an application that creates a letter in HTML. It then opens the default MS viewer to let the user print it. Every time they hit print we get a popup that says "There was an internal error, and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document. " You click the ok button and then the popup closes. We then have to go to the achive to open the document in IE and then it prints fine.

I am using Vista and IE 8. The machines are clean and up to date. Any ideas?

Thanks
BTW, I did check MS web for this and they do have 3 methods to fix this but none of them worked. I changed the DPI and loaded the PCL 5 drivers as well as disabled the script error checking. After all of this it worked for about 5 pages and then back to the error.

I forgot to add that this works fine on XP machines.

Must be a Vista problem.
Have you tied another browser?
Have you tried to open the document in MS Word?
Which printer?
Is this the 64 bit Vista?
