I'm looking for a scheduling or calendar program
« on: January 07, 2011, 12:02:08 PM »
Hello All,

Windows 7 no longer has the calendar program. I looking for a scheduling program (hopefully free) to help keep track of appointments. I use it to keep track of single occurrence and recurring appointments. I would like to be able to set the appointment to pop up on my computer at boot at least one day ahead of time.

Anyone know of a decent little scheduling of calendar program?

Harry

kpac, I note your link to "wareseeker". However while the site may be problematic--and it sure appears so--the actual software is "hallmark event minder' which is contained on the link i provided above. The provider of the software is the same "Hallmark" company that produces greeting cards among other things. There may be other sites that can provide access to this same software if that is an issue. But as i said earlier she has had absolutely no bad issues with it for many years. truenorth
P.S. If the O/P is fearful of the link via "wareseeker" here is an alternative route to the same software program.

        Thanks Folks,

It looks like the Multi-Reminder program will work. Thanks Fed.

I downloaded the Event Minder (from CNet just in case) and it looked good. Its small, quick, and easy, and runs a very small program in the background. But it did not do recurrent reminders as far as I could tell.

Thanks everyone, I think I've got what I need.

Windows Live Mail (which is part of Windows Live Essentials) includes an excellent Calendar  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/looking-for-windows-calendar.

My personal favorite is VueMinder Calendar Lite. It's free and very user-friendly.

Windows 7 no longer has the calendar program.

Um... neither did any other version of windows after 3.1. If you are running win7 32-bit you could try the Windows 3.1 calendar. probably better to use a more updated application, such as those recommended previously.
