    antivirus software alert
    « on: January 06, 2011, 09:48:54 AM »
I am having the same issue as many other users on this forum where every time I try to open a program I get an error saying  - Application cannot be executed. The file xxxxx is infected.

I have tried starting in safe mode and running scans using AVG and Emsisoft Anti-Malware and both are now coming back clean (in safe mode) I have tried to use Rkill but I can not open it. When I try to rename the files as suggested it does not give me an option to change the .exe to anything else so I am not sure where I am going wrong there. I have also done a system restore and it did stop the problem after restart but within 15 mins the pop ups were back. I do know the name of the file that is causing the error but I can not delete it.

Like I said I have tried many things that were listed in other posts but half I can not get to work so I decided to start my own post to try and get help.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

Did you try getting the file again?  Getting it else?  List for the most part what you had tried.   ;)

I am having these same issues. My AVG is out of date and this program is not letting me remove ANYTHING or even reinstall. It won't even let me run a system restore.  :-[ ... Hellllllllp ???

I could not find a way to delete my post but I have solved the issue. I did a system restore and deleted the program with the virus and for now that is working.

I was seeing this stuff one one of my computers.

I did a retstart and managed to start task manager before the bad stuff got loaded into the system tray.  Clicking around in the task manager process list I found this process:

          jdbwnjslajb.exe

I killed it and things calmed down considerably, but IE was not able to make connections.

Right clicking the process name in task manager I checked hte properties of jdbwnjslajb.exe.  That gave me the location of the file:

           C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Temp\cmblngqsp

I deleted ALL the files in the Temp directory and rebooted.  I still coud not get IE to work.  It complained that the proxy server was not configured properly.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings and found that Proxy Server was checked but no address or port information was filled in.  What should be there will depend on your configuration.  I simply unchecked the option.  Everything
           is fine now.

          Good luck

Hello and welcome to Computer Hope Forum. My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer.

          1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
          2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
          3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
          4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans while I am helping you.
          5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
          6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
          7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

If you can't access the internet with your infected computer you will have to download and transfer any programs to the computer you're using now and transfer them to the infected computer with a CD-RW or a USB storage device. I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.
