    Reinstalled windows 7
    « on: February 04, 2011, 10:06:50 AM »
I had to reinstall windows 7 on my dell computer.  When I received the computer, Realtec was installed.  Not knowing what to call this, but it had a popup window where I could change the invironment, making the sound like it was in a living room, an auditorium, etc.  There was also a large list of sounds to choose from,  jazz, rock, bass, etc.  When I reinstalled, using the reinstall disk that came with the computer, I no longer have this environment.  Any idea how I can get that back?  Unfortunately my dell support expired last month.

    Thanks,

    Allan

Did you do a clean install of Windows? If so, you should have a driver disk that came with the system and you have to reinstall all drivers (install the chipset driver first).
