Java 64 bits
« on: January 22, 2011, 10:18:45 AM »
Hi guys

I have now a new computer with OS Windows 7 64 bits, and I am using IE8. I recently installed Java 32 bits without knowing that Java also have a 64 bits version. Should I replace my Java 32 bits version that i recently installed, by a 64 bits version? Or it doesn't make any difference at all which one of the Java version I am using.

Thanks in advance

you need both. The 32-Bit Java runtime will be used by 32-bit browsers and other 32-bit applications that utilize java; the 64-bit runtime will be used vy 64-bit applications and other 64-bit applications that use java.
