Modem activity monitored?

Ok, I work for a major company and connect to my company's computer network remotely from home quite a bit. It is such a large company (over 200k employees nationwide) that it is a foregone conclusion they monitor computer activity, which is one reason I am very careful to only do company work on the system. However, my wife had a concern...I connect through our household modem. Sometimes the wife will be using her computer wirelessly at the same time. She and I want to know if my company's monitoring efforts are able to ascertain any detail regarding her internet usage since the information is going through the same modem. Can anyone help alleviate/confirm her fears? Would the company's monitoring activities detect any information from her computer, even if it is not connected to the VPN but is still using the same modem?

They may monitor what you do once you're connected to their network, but other than that, no.

They only monitor when you're on their network. When you are not on their network they do not have any right to track you.

Always here....thanks for the info. I just wanted to know if their tracking ability could see what was being fed the modem outside their network. As long as my wife isn't logged into their network, it sounds as if her surfing activities would not be monitored through the modem. Thanks all.
