NETFLIX INSTANT VIEW ERROR

I have had Netflix account for a year and never had a problem until now.... I cannot view instant movies now, error code: N8007 appears and when I do what it says, it doesn't work.  I think there is a problem with silverlight... but I uninstalled silverlight and re-installed still same thing.
Does anyone know my problem, maybe a software compatibility issue??

Are you sure it uses Silverlight, not Flash Player?  And, what about Windows Media Player?  Is it needed for the "instant movies"?

yes it requires silverlight, now my computer freezes up and I have to shut it down, couldn't move mouse or 'ctrl/alt/delete" nothing worked so I shut her down :-(

I am an avid Netflix user and my machine doesn't have Silverlight. Per Netflix' web page it is not required either. The requirements are:

Complete System Requirements
To watch instantly, you'll need a computer that meets the following minimum requirements:

•Windows
◦Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Vista or Windows 7
◦Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher; or Firefox 2 or higher
◦1.2 GHz processor
◦512 MB RAM
•Mac
◦An Intel-based Mac with OS 10.4.8 or later
◦Safari 3 or higher; or Firefox 2 or higher
◦1 GB RAM

Under your account info is a link" Problem watching instantly?" in the lower right hand corner. It's a trouble shooting app. I would try that and see where it leads you. I'm guessing its a software conflict.

I was going to say if it required Silverlight Netflix would be 1/10th the size it is...
