I have Verizon internet with an Actiontec MI424WR wireless routerl located on the second floor next to our PC. My wife would love a device that she could use to do email and web surf from our living room on the first floor. Also, we would use this device when we travel which isn't that often, maybe a few weeks every year.
iPads seem like overpriced iPhones but I like the pay-as-you-go AT&T plans. Can an an iPad connect to the Internet through a Verizon Actiontec router?
Verizon has a good deal on a HP Mini 110-3098NR which gets pretty good reviews. I think it would be more than adequate for our needs. However, to get a good deal on the initial purchase price I have to get a 12 or 24 month Verizon contract.
Finally, any thoughts regarding iPad flash memory vs HP Netbook HD? Thanks.
