    Can't see external hard drive in My Computer

    I have an internal hard drive with Windows XP OS I pulled out of a crashed Fujitsu.  I hooked the hd to a SATA/IDE to USB cable adaptor to another Windows XP laptop and I can not see the hard drive in My Computer.  I can see the hd in Disk Management and Device Manager though.  Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
