Video And Audio shut down during game play
« on: March 22, 2011, 09:46:24 AM »
This problem seems to affect only games run on my
HP pavilion model m9510f running Vista Home Premium 64bit
A NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT video card. Driver ver. 8.17.12.6099
With Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz, 2333 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Realtek High Definition Audio sound card. driver 6.0.1.5789

After a few minutes I lose the video and a short time after that I lose the audio.
I need to hold  the power button to reboot.

The games run fine on my older system running Vista Home Premium 32bit
This is making me nuts
I would greatly appreciate any help.

What are the specs of the machine that they run good on? Have you tried to update your video drivers?

What are the names of the games?
