MSWord Background

I was afraid of that. I was hoping it was in the Normal.dotm file.

I am at a loss as to what to do next.

I found the problem.

In the view tab in Word 2007 there is section in the ribbon called "Show/Hide". One of the selection is grid.

Somehow this "grid" was checked. I do not remember doing this.

I unchecked "grid" and the cross/hatching immediately went away.

I really appreciate your help. If I had not recieved your assistance I would have given up and scrubbed my drive to do a rebuild.
