invalid page faults
« on: August 18, 2005, 08:23:46 PM »
Thanks for the replies, but really what I want to know is more specific:

If I'm following the specific ComputerHope instructions in doc CH000225 which say to
"clear all *.tmp files, all C:/Temp files and all C:/Windows/Temp files",
and I get a warning "read only file, are you sure you want to delete" or "this is a program, are you sure you want to delete"
is it safe to continue with these instructions, ie, continue to delete all these files?  Or is there something in these CH instructions I need to know more about?

I was hoping for a reply from someone who wrote the CH instructions.  Or from someone who has used the CH instructions to fix an invalid page fault in IExplore.

If there in temp then yes, there is no harm in cleaning them. I cleaned them out and nothing happend to my computer... As long as they are in temp folder

When following the instructions to clear all .tmp files and temp folders, I get a warning that some are read only files and some are programs.  Should I go ahead and delete them anyway?

Use the following program for more thorough cleaning:

Crap Cleaner
-- Freeware registry scanner/history cleaner
