    trojan fake error messages
    « on: April 16, 2011, 01:08:36 PM »
I keep getting very regularly a trojan fake error message that I cannot "x" to stop it. I am forced to reboot. I once answered yes to the question and it kept giving me these fake messages and I had to restore the o/s.

I have win 7, this is a trojan that comes in legally. It is a rogue trojan. If you reply yes to the question "if you want these errors removed" it will tell you to go to their webpage and buy a antivirus program. Once you say yes to it it will continue to give you a popup sign that says you have errors.
I have Norton in place and it still comes in often. I can only get out of it by x ing IE. and restarting IE. Thank you
