Turn off file and print sharing via Control Panel...

I checked C:\ and printer  nothing is checked to allow shareing.
I have had a family member tell me where I have been and what my passwords are.
This is what I am trying to stop.
I have windows 7 if that makes a difference.

You could also untick remember passwords or auto and use Ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
to clean history, cookies and temp files. You could also right-click My Computer icon/Properties and choose Remote tab and change your settings from there. Make sure to click Apply.

        thank you Jason,

I gather there is no way to confirm other than wait till something else comes up then?

        Thank you for your advice.
