Microsoft Internet Exploler opening random pages

Hello computer world!
I have this very annoying problem. each time I try to use my PC these Internet explorer windows open up with random pages. I dont even us IE and I event de-installed it and it still pops up. While I'm using a program or even playing a video game this happens. Please help me stop it. Its pissing me off. I can watch a video or play anything without interuption. I will list my system specs below. Please leave suggestions or comments to help me solve this issue.

Laptop: Hp Pavillion zd 7000
3.00GHz pentium 4 CPU
512 Mb of RAM
80GB hard disk drive
dvd Burner DL
64 MB nividia Graphics

Sounds like an infection to me...
What protection apps do you have and when was the last time you updated and ran your scans ? ?

infection? I don't have virus protection on any of my PCs

I'd install some straight away.
