Video card question for HP M8120n
    « on: April 22, 2011, 09:26:55 PM »
I want to upgrade the video card to support dual monitors.  Is it possible?  Which brand or version is recommended?

Most cards with ATI or nVidia chipsets will do this. Can't recommend something specific without knowing what motherboard you have and what your budget is. I could recommend a card for under $70 or one that's $700. Going to need more information on what you're upgrading.

HP Pavilion Media Center m8120n Desktop PC Product Specifications

      Motherboard Specifications, P5BW-LA (Basswood3G)
Motherboard does not contain onboard graphics hardware to display video. A video card must be installed.

      Video card is PCI-e (PCI-Express)
You only limitation is the HP Power Supply (PSU) which says 300Watts.  A $200-250 video card will likely need more power.  The PSU should have a 12V rating (12V @ ??A).  Video card will have the same rating.
