Don't worry, I've found the answer. Panther won't run on Mac's with Intel processors - only those with PowerPC.

Time to find me a 10.5 retail disc...

Yes, it's sure been a while. Nice to hear from an old familiar face... even if it is just an egg with a face on it  :P Congratulations on the Mastermind/Global Moderator achievements, by the way.
Ah, I remember back in the day..... and I'm quite pleasantly surprised the profile link picture is still CBMatt. I do suppose most of the members around here wouldn't realise how that came about.

And actually, I've already gotten the Mac, and for quite a reasonable price. I'm planning on using it solely as my recording computer; however, that process is taking a while to get into....
You see, my current laptop doesn't run Pro Tools (the recording software) very well at all (*sigh*, Vista...), so I bought a MacBook Pro for that purpose. However, my Mbox (recording hardware) can't run on OS X 10.6.  :/

So, the plan is to dual-boot XP on my Mac. Problem solved. I can record, and all shall be good  :)

(and you're a poet, and I didn't even know it!)

Haha thanks. I just got the poet reference. Not bad...

I got into Mac about two years ago. I needed it for my Film Course. Absolutely lovely :p
