    computer doesn't read ipod

    when i plug it in, my computer says unknown device and itunes doesn't open up or anything. I tried reinstalling itunes and everything. So how do  i fix this problem. its a ipod shuffle and im using windows 7.

      Has it ever worked properly on that computer before? Are you trying it in a rear usb port? Can you still access your itunes library without the device?truenorth

        it worked on my computer once but im trying it on my laptop now and it doesn't read it at all

          Have you gone through the process to synch it to the laptop. I use an older ipod shuffle and i remember having to synch it to the computer before i could have it recognized. Here are a couple of sites to give you guidance on that.
