I had a lot of fan noise on my old computer. It took replacing both of the case fans to realize that was, in fact, the power supply fan that was making all the racket. The simple act of unplugging the case fans first and then starting up would have isolated the problem quicker and saved me the cost of the new case fans.

    Oh well, live and learn.

As I said be for it isn't noise from some thing going out. It is the noise from a fan moving air to fast. The fan was probable to small for the P. S. U. I will change the P. S. U with an Antec that I have. The one that is in the computer is the one that came with the case. I will let you all know how it goes. Thank you much for your time.

I replaced the P.S.U. and every thing is much better. Still not as quiet as the wifes Antec case. I can live with it now. Thanks much for your help.
