numbers in web bar

whenever I try to type a web address all I get is ascending numbers instead. It always goes 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and starts over again. Can anybody help?

Is this a band new computer? What is the type , brand and model.
How long have u had this problem.
Which Operating System do you use.
Are you seeing this in the  Internet Explorer?
Are you able to get to any web sites at all?
